The Mailani Tower Loft Suite provides a singular purpose – essential pampering. Serenity surrounds you as you enter the suite. The ambiance is modern Zen mingled with the mood of the islands – quiet, warm and spacious. Carved teak furnishings, woven wicker, bamboo and rattan accent the fresh garden color palette of the room. The second floor of the suite features a palatial bathroom with a steam shower complete with a rain shower head, opulent vanity and luxurious Malie Organics spa amenities. Some Mailani Tower Loft Suites also have an indulgent soaking tub. The bathroom is covered in rich travertine stone floors complimenting the mosaic glass accent wall in the shower. The suite features three beds (one king upstairs and two doubles on the main floor) and a lanai that opens to a view of Malulani Pool. Close your eyes and nap in the cabana day bed and enjoy paradise on the privacy of your own lanai.

Collaborative artists, Solomon Enos and Carl F.K. Pao, both born on the island of O’ahu, bring the
Waikiki reef and the Coconut Grove gardens of Helumoa to life in their abstract imagery full of color and vitality. The coconut and the ocean, both reflections of our heritage and symbols of rebirth and renewal, represent life, prosperity and paradise.

Aha Aina Luau, Traditional Hawaiian Celebration

Every Monday and Thursday evening, The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, pays homage to Helumoa, the legendary playground of Hawaiian royalty where the resort now stands, with a modern interpretation of the traditional Hawaiian feast called ‘Aha‘aina, A Royal Celebration.

Before luaus there were ‘Aha‘aina—a feast of food, mele (song) and hula. In ancient times the Hawaiian people came together to celebrate momentous occasions, these gatherings were called ‘Aha‘aina (which translates to gathering for a meal). The Royal Hawaiian is located on sacred grounds and we have created a modern, yet timeless ‘Aha‘aina to honor the land’s majestic history through food, song, stories, hula, and culture—a true celebration of The Royal and its heritage.

Azure

A world-class restaurant perched along the Waikiki beachfront under the canopy of resort's dramatic Spanish-Moorish architecture. The bejeweled oceanfront space is adorned with intimate candles, plush banquettes, pillows and pristine table settings – creating an ambiance of exquisite relaxation and upscale dining.

Fish and the freshest fruits de mer are Azure's forte. Whether it is ahi, opah, onaga, uku, or moi that whets your appetite – locally caught fish are selected each morning at daybreak from the Hawai'i fish auction and then prepared with your pleasure in mind.

Royal Hawaiian Bakery

The Royal Hawaiian Bakery is a one-stop bakery located on the resort's Coconut Lanai offering everything from The Royal Hawaiian's famous banana bread and classic freshly baked desserts to custom-created cakes by Executive Pastry Chef Carolyn Portuondo, whose talents have been showcased nationally.
