Iconic Landmarks Savour Uruguay’s quiet charm on this private-guided journey, from vineyard-dotted countryside to the stylish shores of the Atlantic coast.

Trip Overview :

Uruguay unfolds at an easy pace, inviting you to slow down and savour its quiet charm.

Begin in Colonia del Sacramento, where cobbled streets and colonial façades whisper stories of Portuguese and Spanish settlers. A private tour reveals the city’s graceful blend of history and calm, setting the tone for your journey. Nearby Carmelo offers a taste of Uruguay’s winemaking culture, with boutique vineyards nestled between eucalyptus groves and river views.

From Colonia, follow the Río de la Plata to Montevideo. Uruguay’s laid-back capital fuses Art Deco elegance with beachside cafés and a thriving cultural scene. Explore it with a guide who knows where the old city hides its most atmospheric corners. Then it’s off to the coast.

Punta del Este, long favoured by South American travellers, blends beach glamour with natural beauty. Spend a day discovering the town’s art galleries, marina and photogenic seafront, before venturing further east. La Barra and José Ignacio offer a quieter contrast - surfer enclaves and fishing villages turned creative retreats, with windswept dunes and hidden eateries tucked along the Atlantic coast.

With curated private tours and unhurried days, this journey through Uruguay lets you experience the country’s elegance, from vineyard to ocean shore. Perfect for those who prefer their travels nuanced, personal, and off the usual path.
